Light pollution

We know the insects are attracted by artificial night lights. This artificial lighting influences the natural patterns of light and dark, and has numerous consequences on ecosystems, not only for the insects, but also for a wide range of animals (invertebrates, birds, turtles, geckos, bats, etc.). During 2012-2014, thanks to funds provided by Endesa and Red Eléctrica de España, we evaluated the impact of different systems of outdoor lighting in invertebrates Gibraltar area.
